Step 1: Create a Backup Through Host Havoc
Before making any changes, create a backup of your Host Havoc server using the backup tools available in the control panel.
Keeping a backup ensures that your server can be restored if any files are missed during the migration process.
Step 2: Download Your Server Files
Host Havoc provides access to your files through FTP and the File Manager.
Download all important server data, including:
• World saves
• Maps and custom worlds
• Mods and mod configurations
• Plugins
• Configuration files
• Custom scripts and content
• Player data
Store these files on your local computer before continuing.
Step 3: Upload Files to Citadel Servers
Connect to your Citadel Servers service using FTP or the Game Panel File Manager.
Upload all downloaded files into the corresponding directories on your Citadel Servers service.
FTP is recommended for large transfers, especially for servers with extensive mods, maps, or workshop content.

Step 4: Verify Your Configuration
Before starting your new server, verify that:
• The correct game version is installed
• Mods and plugins have been uploaded completely
• Configuration files are present
• Startup parameters match your previous setup
• Administrative permissions have been recreated if necessary
Step 5: Start and Test the Server
Start your Citadel Servers service and confirm that the migration completed successfully.
• Worlds load properly
• Players can connect
• Mods and plugins load correctly
• Server settings function as expected
Alternative Method: Upload a Backup Archive
If you created a backup archive from Host Havoc, you may upload the archive directly to your Citadel Servers service.
Once uploaded, extract the archive and move the files into their appropriate locations.
Common Migration Issues
Workshop or Mod Content Missing
Verify that all workshop downloads, mods, and related configuration files were transferred successfully.
World Not Appearing
Confirm that the world save folder was uploaded completely and placed in the correct directory.
Server Startup Errors
Review your startup logs and ensure all configuration files and dependencies were transferred properly.
