Customizing the experience (XP) multipliers on your Conan Exiles server allows you to control how quickly players earn experience and progress through the game's leveling system. Whether you want to create a challenging survival experience that encourages players to invest more time in character progression or a more relaxed environment where players can level up faster, adjusting the XP multipliers is an excellent way to tailor the gameplay to your community's preferences. Conan Exiles provides several experience multiplier settings that control how much XP players receive from different in-game activities, such as combat, harvesting resources, crafting, and exploration. By modifying these individual multipliers, you can fine-tune the progression system without necessarily affecting every source of experience equally. For example, you can increase combat XP to reward players for defeating enemies while keeping crafting and gathering XP at lower rates to maintain a balanced progression experience. In this guide, we will walk you through the process of modifying the XP multipliers on your Conan Exiles server using the server configuration files. You will learn how to locate the relevant experience settings, understand what each multiplier controls, and adjust the values according to your preferred gameplay experience. Whether you want to accelerate leveling, slow down character progression, or establish different experience rates for specific activities, configuring these settings will help you create a more customized server environment for you and your players. Before making any changes, we strongly recommend stopping your server and creating a backup of your existing configuration files. This helps prevent configuration changes from being overwritten and allows you to restore your previous settings if necessary.
