This guide will show you how to install a custom map to your Factorio server.

NOTE: It is recommended that you stop your server before making any changes to it.

Installing custom maps
If you've created a map through the game, you can find this by navigating to the directory that you installed Factorio in on your computer, e.g. C:\Factorio. In this directory you'll find a folder called "saves", inside of this "saves" folder you'll find the map as a zip archive, called whatever name you gave it, e.g. yourmap.zip. This is the file that you would want to upload to your server.

After you've created or found a map you want to install to your server, you'll want to navigate to the "File Manager" in your control panel.

Once there, you'll want to open the "saves" folder.

Press the "Upload" button to upload your map.

Press "Browse..." and locate your map on your computer.

After you've located your map, press "Upload" to upload it to your server.

Once it has finished uploading, navigate to the "Commandline Manager" in your control panel.

Press "Selected" next to your command line.

Change "Server Map Name" to the name of the zip archive that you uploaded to your server.

Press "Apply" to save your changes.

And that's it, you've now installed a custom map to your Factorio server! The next time you start your server it should now be running this map.
