The length of a day in Palworld can have a significant impact on how players experience and progress through the game. By default, the in-game day and night cycle follows a predefined duration, but server owners can adjust these settings to better suit their preferred gameplay experience. Changing the day length can be useful for a variety of server configurations. You may want to extend the daytime period to give players more time to explore, gather resources, build, or complete activities before nightfall. Alternatively, shortening the day can create a faster-paced experience where the day and night cycle progresses more quickly. In this guide, we'll show you how to set the day length on your Palworld server by modifying the appropriate server configuration setting. We'll explain where to find the setting, how to enter your desired value, and what you need to do after making the change to ensure the new configuration is applied correctly. Whether you're configuring a server for a small group of friends or managing a larger multiplayer community, adjusting the day length allows you to customize the pace of the in-game world to better match your preferred playstyle.
Adjusting Day Length
1. Log in to your Game Control Panel.
2. Before making any modifications, stop the server from running by clicking the Stop button.
3. Navigate to the Configuration Files section.
4. In Configuration Files, look for the Pal\Saved\Config\WindowsServer\PalWorldSettings.ini file and click the Text Editor beside the Config Editor.
5. In the Text Editor, locate the Daytime Speed Multiplier field and enter the desired value to control how quickly daytime progresses. For example, setting the value to 2 will make daytime progress twice as fast, while a value of 0.5 will make it progress at half the normal speed. Next, locate the Nighttime Speed Multiplier field and enter the desired value to control how quickly nighttime progresses. A higher value will make the night pass faster, while a lower value will make it last longer.
6. After editing, click Save to apply the changes.
You can now start playing on your server.
