Don’t Starve Together requires two separate servers when you want to enable both the Overworld (Master) and Caves. The Master Server handles the main world where players start, while the Slave Server runs the caves environment.
Linking the two allows players to travel between the surface and caves seamlessly, creating a connected game world.
 

Step 1: Reinstall Both Servers

Reinstall both servers to reset them to default settings.
This ensures a clean setup and prevents configuration issues.

 

 

Step 2: Generate a Server Token

A valid server token is required for DST servers to run.

Step 3: Set Your Server Name

Change your server name to your name followed by "Server", for example:

Step 4: Link the Master and Slave Servers

This process links both servers so players can travel between the surface and caves.

 

Step 5: Restart and Verify Link

Restart both servers.
