What is Space Engineers
Space Engineers is a sandbox game focused on engineering, construction, and maintenance of space structures. Players build space ships and stations of various sizes and uses—civilian or military—while piloting vessels and performing asteroid mining.
The game utilizes a realistic volumetric-based physics engine, allowing all objects to be assembled, disassembled, damaged, and destroyed. Space Engineers offers two distinct game modes: creative and survival.
Inspired by reality, the game envisions modern-day NASA technologyextrapolated 60 years into the future. It strives to adhere to the laws of physics, avoiding speculative technologies beyond near-future feasibility.
While primarily focused on construction, Space Engineers can also be played as a tactical shooter. Instead of direct combat, players are encouraged to use creativity and engineering skills to design war machines and fortifications.
