How long will it take for my Dedicated Server to be set up?

All Dedicated Servers are set up within 72 hours however we aim for this to be done as quick as possible (Subject to demand\supply) once your payment has been processed. Your server is automatically built for you with the operating system of your choice, you should expect your server to be available 30 - 60 minutes after our engineers have installed your server into our rackspace. You will recieve notifications via email on the progress for the setup. We will not charge you for the duration between purchase and server setup.

Do I have to sign up to an annual contract

The minimum term for a server contract is one month, you may cancel this at any time. We do offer an annual discount for servers rented for 12 months or more. See website for details.

Do you have any restrictions on what I can use my server for?

As long as it abides by the laws of where the server is located and our terms of service, then you are free to use the server for any purpose.

How much bandwidth do I get?

All our Dedicated servers run on a 1gbps connection with a guaranteed 250mbps. We do not cap our bandwidth at Citadel Servers, you have unlimited outgoing and incoming bandwidth.

Is there a Money Back Guarantee?

There is no money back Guarantee on your Dedicated servers. However if we take longer than 72 hours setting up your dedicated server the setup fee will be refunded.

Where will my server be located?

Our dedicated servers are currently located in France and Canada, you select the location when ordering your server.

What level of access do I have to my server?

You have full root\Administrator privileges to manage and access your Dedicated server.

Do you provide a Service Level Agreement (SLA)?

All our dedicated servers come with a 99.99% uptime SLA. You can find out more on our Service Level Agreement

Do you include protection from DDoS attacks?

All our hosting plans and servers are secured behind our bleeding edge network, hardware and software protection systems including state of the art cisco and Arbor equipment.

How can I pay for my dedicated server?

We accept Mastercard, Visa, Maestro (Switch) Solo, Visa Electron, Vista Delta and Paypal. We do not accept Cheque, postal orders, standing orders or cash.

Do I get an invoice?

Yes, every time you buy a product from us we will email you an invoice; invoices are also available to view and print at any time in your control panel.

Do you charge a set up fee?

All our servers have reasonably priced setup fees, however if a server is ordered for 12 months the setup fee is free.

Do you charge VAT?

Yes, all prices, except where specifically marked, are plus VAT for UK customers.

Can i purchase and install a SSL certificate?

We offer SSL certificates that you can purchase directly from us and we can install it for you, or you can install your own yourself.

Does the server run RAID disk mirroring?

All our servers have Soft RAID 1, this means your main hard drive is mirrored directly to the 2nd hard drive so you always have it backed up incase of a failure.

Do you offer a Backup service?

Yes we do, contact us via support for a quote on this.

Can i resell Dedicated Servers?

You are allowed to resell our Dedicated servers to your clients. Contact us for a quote to become a Citadel Server Reseller.

Do i have to use my own Name Servers?

You can continue to use ours or use your own. Simply update your A, B and C Name Records to point to your server. If you want to run your own Authoritative server you can do so.

How many IP Addresses do i get with my server?

The server includes 4 IP Addresses as standard, you can add up to 128 addtional ips for a small addtional cost per month + one time setup fee per ip.
