This guide will show you how to properly set up your Unturned server for the first time.
Setting up your Unturned server is actually very simple. Make sure to follow the steps below to ensure that you've set it up properly.
1. Finding the file to configure
Head over to your "Configuration Files" in your control panel.
Once there, open up "Commands.dat" using the "Text Editor"
2. Configuring the files
Make sure that the following commands are there:
name Your server's name
port 25462
timeout 400
bindip 142.4.215.198
password Your server's password
welcome Your server's welcome message
Here's an explanation of the commands listed above:
name - Set this to the desired name for your server.
port - You shouldn't have to change this, this is your server's port.
bindip - You shouldn't have to change this either, this is your server's IP.
password - Set this to the desired password for your server. Leave this blank if you want your server to be public, i.e. not password protected.
welcome - Set this to the desired welcome message for your server. This will show to connecting clients.
Just edit the commands to your liking, and then hit "Save". After you're done following these steps, make sure to start/restart your server!
