Cheat Protection Keeps Kicking Me On My Terraria Server

This guide will explain the issue and the resolution.

 

By default we have our Terraria servers run the "Secure" anti cheat mode however this can conflcit with players servers that have been modded or configured to have a feature that might be detected as a cheat such as:

 

"Cheating attempt Detected: Projectile Spam"

 

To resolve this, you need to turn off the secure mode for your server. This will mean people can easily use hacks on your server to manipulate your world so it's not recommended.

 

To do this you need to first login and access your server control panel.

 

Then navigate to the "Commandline Manager" as shown.

 

 

Once there, click on "Selected" on the default commandline or custom if you wish.

This has now opened out several options, you can define certain things here.

 

You need to turn off "Secure" as shown by unchecking it, this will then make your server not secure.

 

 

Once you have unchecked that option, click "Apply" and start or restart your server and it will now be insecure.
